Congruousness of a Crossing

This site in Parramatta warms my cockles (whatever they are).
I know someone would have had to fight pretty hard to get this crossing raised.
They would have faced the usual arguments:
“It’s an industrial estate.”
“There are lots of heavy vehicles.”
“You can’t put raised features where there are trucks and buses.”
Codswallop.
Of course you can.
Raised crossings can absolutely be designed to accommodate buses and other heavy vehicles. It just needs to be done properly.
Our recent fact sheet on buses and raised platforms is a very useful guide for anyone working through exactly this issue at sites with buses, trucks and other heavy vehicles.
Download it here
Good to see it being done here. Well played to whomever had that battle and won.
